Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the unique learning requirements of each student.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate special education students into the classroom effectively.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instruction as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and support staff regarding academic progress and behavioral expectations.
- Create and maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure in special education teaching.
- Experience working with high school-aged students, particularly in a special education setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
