Job Description
A licensed special education teacher is sought for a contract position in an engaging high school environment located in Framingham, MA. This role focuses on providing tailored educational experiences to students with diverse learning needs, primarily in math and science.
Qualifications:
- Valid MA DESE license in Moderate Special Education (grades 9-12)
- Strong background in teaching math, specifically Algebra I, II, and intervention courses
- Experience with developing and implementing IEPs
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Location:
Framingham, MA
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to special education students in a collaborative classroom setting
- Function as an integral member of a team, delivering Academic Support in core subjects
- Collect and analyze student data to establish measurable goals and develop appropriate lessons
- Adjust instructional materials and assessments based on student understanding and data-driven techniques
- Participate in school meetings focused on enhancing curricular and extracurricular activities
- Work closely with the Team Chair to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
