Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid state certification or licensure in Special Education
- Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a classroom setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individual education plans (IEPs) and implement them effectively
- Commitment to collaboration and teamwork within the school community
Responsibilities:
- Assess students progress and adapt lesson plans to meet individual needs
- Create and implement IEP goals in collaboration with parents and support staff
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required
- Foster a positive and structured learning environment that encourages student engagement
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and additional training as needed
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs
