Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid state certification or licensure in Special Education
- Previous experience teaching high school students with special needs
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and other staff
Location: Hugoton, KS area
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Assess and evaluate students progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse needs
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals to deliver tailored support in both push-in and pull-out services
- Maintain a structured and positive classroom environment conducive to learning
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and challenges
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

This role offers a contract position with a schedule of 35-40 hours per week, running from July 31, 2025, to May 20, 2026.
