A dynamic educational environment is seeking dedicated professionals focused on providing exceptional support to students with diverse learning needs. This full-time position is located in Joliet, IL, within a K-12 school setting, and spans the entire school year.
Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
- Proven experience in special education, preferably within K-12 settings.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with various teaching strategies for students with special needs.
- Specify caseload preference during the interview process.
Location:

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs based on individual student needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty regarding academic expectations and progress.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
