Job Description
An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to provide specialized educational support within a high school setting. This contract position is designed for individuals passionate about fostering an inclusive and enriching learning environment for students with diverse needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Proven experience teaching high school students, particularly in grades 8-12.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that meet the individual needs of students.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to create a comprehensive learning environment.
- Assess and evaluate students progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and progress in compliance with school policies.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and challenges.
