Job Description
An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to provide specialized education within a high school setting. This role focuses on fostering an inclusive environment tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with varying abilities, particularly in a resource room setting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid state certification or licensure in Special Education
- Experience working with high school-aged students, preferably in a resource room
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Proficient in collaboration with paraprofessionals and other support staff
Location:
Liberal, KS
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt instructional plans aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals to ensure effective delivery of services
- Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate documentation
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and faculty regarding student development
- Create a supportive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning
- Facilitate inclusion strategies within the classroom and school community
