Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching License
- Experience working with high school students, preferably in transition programs
- Ability to support students with varied needs, including nonverbal and those requiring medical assistance (trach/feeding tubes)
- Strong collaboration skills to work alongside paraprofessionals and other support staff
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Location:
Lorain, OH
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Collaborate with a team of educators and support staff to create a comprehensive learning environment
- Facilitate instructional activities tailored to the uniqueneeds of each student
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Maintain a supportive and structured classroom atmosphere
