Location: Manassas, VA Job Duration: Full-time, August 8, 2025 - June 12, 2026 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with varying disabilities, including AU, ID, and MD.
- Collaborate with instructional assistants to provide effective support and enhance student learning experiences.
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Create a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and support staff regarding student progress and needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP documentation.
Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Teaching License with current certifications.
- Proven experience in teaching within an Adaptive Self-Contained classroom.
- Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and families.
