This role focuses on middle school settings, where the aim is to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs. With four openings available for the 2025/2026 school year, there is a significant opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that reflect each student's unique needs.
- Employ innovative and differentiated instructional strategies to engage students effectively.
- Monitor student progress towards IEP goals and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance overall student development.
- Provide both push-in and pull-out support for students in ELA and Math.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelors degree in Special Education or higher.
- Active Illinois teaching certification.
- Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
