Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educators License
- Learning Behavior Specialist 1 Endorsement required
- Experience working with students with disabilities
- Comfort and proficiency in managing students displaying behavioral disorders
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Location:
- Plainfield, IL
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff, including 2-3 paraprofessionals, to enhance the learning experience.
- Create a structured and positive classroom environment that addresses the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and challenges.
