This role focuses on providing tailored support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across various grade levels, from Pre-K to 12th grade. The positions are designed for the full semester, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with ASD, particularly in classroom settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments
Location:
- Reading, PA
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with ASD
- Collaborate with support staff and other educators to facilitate a comprehensive support system
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Create a structured and positive classroom environment that promotes social and academic growth
- Engage with families to ensure continuity of support between school and home
- Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings
