Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid teaching credential in Special Education
- Experience working with high school students with mod-severe disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively with other educators and support staff
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
- Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic student development
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and IEP goals
- Provide a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional growth
- Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff regarding student achievements and challenges
