Job Description

Qualifications:
- Valid Vermont special educator licensure
- Proven experience working with middle school-aged students in a special education setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with various teaching methodologies and adaptive technologies
- Commitment to collaborating with staff, students, and families to enhance learning outcomes
Location: South Burlington, VT
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt lesson plans aligned with IEP goals
- Provide direct instruction to students with special needs in a middle school setting
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams regarding student development
- Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings
