Job Description
Enthusiastic professionals are sought to provide educational support within an elementary setting. This role focuses on fostering a conducive learning environment for students in a behavior cluster program, catering to the unique needs of approximately 15 kindergarten to 3rd-grade students.
Location: Tucson, AZ
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements.
- Collaborate with paraprofessional support staff to create a comprehensive support system.
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to promote positive behavioral outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student development and needs.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to student progress and IEP compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in special education.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in behavior support programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
