Job Description
A dedicated professional is sought for a full-time position focused on delivering specialized education to upper elementary students in a resource classroom setting. This role is vital in providing tailored support and services to meet the diverse needs of the 10 students on the caseload, ensuring an inclusive and effective learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid VA Teaching License with active certifications
- Experience in special education, particularly with upper elementary students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Previous experience working with instructional assistants is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver general education and special education services to students
- Collaborate with support staff and families to enhance student learning and well-being
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring they meet each student's unique needs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
