This full-time position for the 2025-2026 school year is set in Alexandria, VA, within a dynamic K-12 educational environment. Qualifications:
- Virginia licensure or eligibility
- Special Education certification
- Proficient in Sign Language
- Familiarity with Assistive Technology for Students with Hearing Impairments, such as FM Systems
- Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education preferred, but not required
Location:

Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored educational support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across various grade levels
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Use appropriate communication methods, including sign language and assistive technology, to enhance student learning
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and progress
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
