The full-time contract involves working as an itinerant teacher, providing essential support across multiple campuses and addressing the diverse needs of students within a mixed K-12 caseload.
Qualifications:
- Certified Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher in Florida
- Strong understanding of K-12 educational standards and best practices
- Experience working with students in diverse settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Proficient in using various teaching modalities and assistive technologies
Location: Port Saint Lucie, FL
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Collaborate with educational staff to ensure effective implementation of IEPs.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Facilitate communication between students, parents, and staff.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
