Job Description
An opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to support students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a K-12 educational setting. This full-time, itinerant position involves working across multiple campuses, addressing the diverse needs of a mixed-age caseload.
Qualifications:
- Certified Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Florida
- Experience working with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with various teaching techniques and tools for students with hearing impairments
Location:
- Stuart, FL
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student learning and development
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each students unique needs
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly
- Facilitate communication and social skills development among students
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress
