Job Description

Engage in a rewarding part-time position where you can make a significant impact on students' lives in a K-12 educational setting. This itinerant role offers the opportunity to support multiple campuses, serving a diverse mixed caseload of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher in Florida
  • Experience working with K-12 students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication methods

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, tailored to their individual needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to ensure an inclusive learning environment
  • Develop, review, and implement IEPs in accordance with state regulations
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress
