We are seeking dedicated educators for a contract position focused on providing specialized instruction to students with visual impairments. This role is situated in Denver, CO, within a dynamic K-12 school environment committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education, preferably with a focus on visual impairments
- Valid teaching certification or licensure in visual impairment
- Experience working with K-12 students who are visually impaired
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Proficiency in the use of assistive technology for students with visual impairments
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Location:

Responsibilities:
- Assess students' needs and develop tailored instructional plans
- Implement appropriate teaching strategies to support individual learning goals
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and families to enhance students overall development
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting IEPs as necessary
- Provide training and resources to staff regarding visual impairments and supportive practices
