This position involves working directly with a diverse K-12 student caseload, providing essential educational support and orientation & mobility (O&M) services as outlined in individual IEPs. Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Visual Impairment
- OMS certification from ACVREP or NBPCB
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in a classroom setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEP goals and objectives
Location: Greenville, SC
Responsibilities:
- Provide O&M services as agreed upon in IEPs
- Write and assess the O&M portion of IEPs, ensuring aligned educational strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and families to support student needs
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and progress made
