Job Description

Seeking skilled Teachers for the Visually Impaired to provide impactful educational support in a K-12 setting located in Kent, WA. Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Education, Special Education, or related field
• Valid Washington State Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification
• Strong understanding of IEPs and 504 plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Experience working with K-12 students preferred

Location: Kent, WA (K-12 School Environment)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments
• Assess students needs and adapt curricula to ensure effective learning
• Collaborate with special education staff, parents, and other professionals to support student goals
• Monitor and evaluate students progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and documentation for IEP meetings
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters social and emotional development
