Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education, preferably with a focus on Visual Impairment or related field
- Valid teaching certification in Visual Impairment (TVI) in Virginia
- Strong understanding of different visual impairments and their impact on learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Experience working with K-12 students is preferred

Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with visual impairments
- Collaborate with fellow educators, specialists, and families to create and implement effective IEPs
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Utilize appropriate materials and resources to enhance learning experiences
- Provide training and support to staff and families regarding visual impairments and best practices
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required
