Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Education or a related field
  • Valid Washington State Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with IEPs and 504 plans
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

  • Olympia, WA

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments, aligning with their individual learning goals
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to ensure comprehensive support for each student
  • Develop tailored teaching materials and strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt instructional methods as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate educational plans
