Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Education or a related field
- Valid Washington State Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with IEPs and 504 plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Location:
- Olympia, WA
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments, aligning with their individual learning goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to ensure comprehensive support for each student
- Develop tailored teaching materials and strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt instructional methods as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate educational plans
