A professional opportunity is available for dedicated specialists in Spartanburg, SC, within a K-12 educational setting. This contract position spans the school year, focusing on providing essential services to students with visual impairments.

Location: Spartanburg, SC

Responsibilities:

• Deliver Orientation and Mobility (O&M) services as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement O&M goals tailored to student needs.
• Write and maintain the O&M section of IEPs, ensuring clear communication and documentation of student progress.
• Monitor and report on student progress through regular assessments and updates.
• Handle Medicaid billing processes as required.

Qualifications:

• Certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) with experience in K-12 settings.
• O&M certification from ACVREP or NBPCB is preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
