• Bachelors degree in education, specialized in visual impairments, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification in Visual Impairment (TVI) for K-12 students.
• Previous experience working with children with visual impairments is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instructional support to students with visual impairments, adapting materials and strategies to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate students visual capabilities and develop appropriate interventions.
• Develop and maintain IEPs, ensuring they reflect each students goals and progress.
• Engage families in the educational process, providing support and resources as needed.
