Job Description

This position is situated in Tacoma, WA, within a dynamic K-12 school setting, focusing on delivering personalized instruction and support to a diverse caseload of 10-14 students. This contract is for the 2025-2026 school year.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Washington State Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification
- Strong understanding of IEP and 504 plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred
Location:

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate with educational staff and support teams to ensure effective learning experiences
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding academic and social development
