Location: Rock Hill, South Carolina
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $35–$45 per hour
School: Old Pointe Elementary
Classroom Setting: Self-contained classroom for students with moderate intellectual disabilities
Students: 14 students with 2 classroom assistants
Dates: Immediate Start – Ongoing

ProCare Therapy is partnering with Old Pointe Elementary in Rock Hill, SC to find a compassionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to work with elementary-aged students in a self-contained classroom for students with moderate intellectual disabilities. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students with intellectual disabilities.
• Provide direct instruction and support in areas such as academics, life skills, and social development.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants to maintain a structured and supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress, adjust teaching strategies, and implement behavioral interventions as needed.
• Work closely with parents, colleagues, and school leadership to ensure students are making progress toward their goals.

What You Need to Apply:

• Valid Special Education Certification in South Carolina.
• Comfort and experience working with students with intellectual disabilities.
• Ability to create and adapt lessons for students with moderate intellectual disabilities.
• Compassionate, patient, and skilled in managing diverse classroom needs.

Interview Process:

1. Initial phone screening (10-15 minutes) to discuss your qualifications and experience.
2. Virtual interview with the school district (20-30 minutes).
3. Offer extended within 24-48 hours of the interview.
