Role Overview & Responsibilities
I’m looking for a dedicated Elementary Special Education Teacher to join our team in Dixon, Illinois, and support young learners in achieving their full potential. In this role, you will:
- Schedule: Work full-time, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Caseload: Manage a caseload of 8 to 10 students, with additional para support to ensure each student receives the individualized attention they need.
- Instruction: Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet students’ unique learning needs in alignment with their IEP goals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with paraprofessionals, families, and other educators to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Certification: Valid Illinois Special Education Teacher certification required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in an elementary school setting preferred.
- Skills: Ability to effectively manage and adapt instruction to diverse learning needs and to collaborate with para support.
Interview Process
