Role Overview & Responsibilities
We’re excited to offer multiple Intervention Specialist opportunities in Akron, Ohio! This position is ideal for compassionate educators ready to make a meaningful impact on PreK and elementary students with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), resource support, and mild to moderate interventions. With a caseload of 12-13 students, you’ll have the opportunity to support individualized learning in a collaborative and inclusive environment. Here’s a closer look at the responsibilities:

• Individualized Student Support: Develop and adapt instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Caseload Variety: Work across multiple classroom types, with specific focus areas like ASD, resource support, and mild/moderate interventions.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with classroom teams and support staff to foster a supportive learning atmosphere.

Requirements
To be eligible for this role, candidates must have:

• Ohio Licensure: A valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License
• Endorsements: Reading Endorsement and PreK Endorsement

Interview Process

• Availability: Interviews are scheduled for the week of November 18.
• Structure: Selected candidates will participate in an initial phone screening, followed by an in-depth virtual or in-person interview. This process includes discussing your experience, teaching philosophy, and approach to individualized education plans (IEPs).
