Job Title: Part-Time Teacher of the Deaf

Location: Schenectady, NY (Onsite Only)

Employment Type: Contracted through ProCare Therapy

Job Description:

Are you a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf seeking a flexible part-time opportunity to provide valuable services to students in Schenectady, NY? We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to work on a contract basis through ProCare Therapy, offering your expertise once a month to support students with hearing impairments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments.
  • Adapt and implement curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations as needed.
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure students' success.
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
  • Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf or eligibility to obtain certification in New York.
  • Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work once a month with a flexible schedule.
