About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and caring School Social Worker to join our team in Warren, Michigan. In this role, you will provide counseling, emotional support, and crisis intervention for students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. By collaborating with staff and families, you’ll help foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages student well-being and academic success.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer individual and group counseling to students dealing with emotional, social, and behavioral difficulties.
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop effective intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create strategies that support students.
- Connect students and families with community resources and support services.
- Participate in IEP meetings and assist in creating plans for students with emotional and behavioral needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work.
- Valid Michigan School Social Worker License (LMSW or equivalent).
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to school social work.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $35-$45 per hour, based on experience.
