- Hourly Rate: $35-$45, based on experience and qualifications

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our team in Saginaw, Michigan. In this full-time position, you will work in a resource classroom, providing individualized instruction and support to students with mild to moderate disabilities, including ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and speech/language impairments. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Individualized Instruction: Tailor your teaching to meet the diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students with disabilities.
- Develop and Monitor IEPs: Collaborate with families, paraprofessionals, and school staff to create, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student.
- Collaborate with Educational Teams: Work alongside general education teachers and support staff to ensure students have the necessary accommodations and resources to succeed.
- Track Student Progress: Regularly assess and monitor student performance, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to promote growth and achievement.
- Create an Inclusive Classroom Culture: Build a positive, supportive classroom environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Michigan Special Education Teacher License required (Type 1, 2, or 3, in accordance with Michigan Department of Education standards).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience: Experience working with students with disabilities, particularly those with ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and speech impairments, is preferred.
- Skills: Strong classroom management, excellent communication, and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
- State-Specific Requirements:
- Valid Michigan Special Education Certification (Type 1, 2, or 3).
- Completion of background checks and clearance as required by Michigan law.
- Experience in developing and managing IEPs and adhering to state and federal education regulations.
