Role Overview & Responsibilities
We’re seeking a licensed Virtual Special Education Case Manager to support onsite SPED teachers at 2-3 different preschools in Virginia. This is a part-time role, offering 20 hours per week, focused on case management, IEP writing, progress reporting, and administrative support—no direct student services required. You’ll collaborate with the onsite team to ensure compliance with state and federal special education requirements and provide guidance on student progress and program adjustments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Case Management: Oversee special education cases, manage timelines, and ensure all documentation is compliant.
• IEP Writing: Develop and update individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and families.
• Progress Reporting: Monitor student progress and prepare regular reports to support decision-making.
• Collaboration: Work closely with SPED teachers at preschools to provide virtual administrative support.

Requirements

• Virginia License: Must be a licensed Special Education Teacher in the state of Virginia.
• Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement (ECSE): Required to work with preschool students.
• Experience: Previous experience in case management, IEP development, and working with early childhood special education is preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills with the ability to work independently in a virtual setting.
