We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to join a supportive school team in Albany, NY. This full-time role provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with hearing impairments.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver interpreting services using American Sign Language (ASL) in various educational settings, including classrooms, meetings, and activities.
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers to ensure full participation.
• Adjust interpreting methods to meet individual student needs and preferences.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators to promote student success.
• Maintain professional ethics, confidentiality, and effective communication at all times.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Certification through RID, EIPA, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in educational interpreting is highly valued.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• A passion for fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
