We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a team in Lakeside, CA for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position. The SLP will work with students in grades K-12 and will be responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language services. The contract period will run from August 21, 2023, to June 14, 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs, including articulation, fluency, voice, and expressive/receptive language skills.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, incorporating evidence-based practices to address students' speech and language goals.
- Deliver effective speech and language therapy sessions to students individually or in small groups, targeting specific areas of need and monitoring progress over time.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment that promotes students' speech and language development.
- Regularly assess and document students' progress towards their speech and language goals, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to maximize outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid California state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of various assessment and intervention techniques for speech and language disorders in school-aged children.
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying communication needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
