Social Worker School Based Position - Eunice, Louisiana

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our team and provide school-based support to middle and high school students in the Eunice, LA area. This role involves working across 2-3 schools to assess, counsel, and support students, with a focus on emotional and behavioral health. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and families, and be committed to fostering positive outcomes in the educational setting.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum:

• Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Licensure in the State of Louisiana as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
• A minimum of three years of post-master’s degree experience in a social work setting, particularly working with children, youth, and families.
• Certification from the Louisiana Department of Education as a Qualified School Social Worker.

Preferred:

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Louisiana.
• Familiarity with Bulletin 1508 (Louisiana’s Special Education regulations).
• Experience conducting school-based evaluations and working in an educational setting.

Caseload:

• You will be serving middle and high school students (ages 11-22).
• The position requires travel between 2-3 schools within the Opelousas area.
