Join our dedicated team as a Special Education Aide, where you'll provide essential support to students and teachers in a structured and nurturing learning environment. Responsibilities:
- Assist students with disabilities in both individual and group settings.
- Implement and reinforce teacher-planned instructional activities.
- Support students with daily routines, including mobility, feeding, toileting, and hygiene as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with special education teachers and therapists to meet students’ individualized education program (IEP) goals.
- Provide behavioral and emotional support to help students stay engaged.
- Utilize adaptive technology and resources to facilitate learning.
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations with the instructional team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Experience working with children, especially those with disabilities, is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience, compassion, and a commitment to student success.
- Ability to lift/move students when necessary.
