Position Details
- Pay Rate: $35-$40 per hour (based on experience).
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Contract Type: W2 employee with ProCare Therapy.
- Benefits: Full benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, and more.
- Requirements: Candidates must hold an active Special Education license/certification to be eligible.
Note: The specific school assignment will be revealed during your interview with the district, which will take place via Zoom on Friday, January 17th or sooner.
Role Responsibilities
As a Special Education Teacher, you will:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet students' unique needs.
- Junior High
- Inclusion teacher - travels to 3 classrooms
- Planning period at the end of the day
- Must be licensed in VA
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to support student success.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and growth.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to educational plans as needed.
- Communicate regularly with families to ensure alignment and support for each student's development.
