Job Title: Full-Time Special Education Teacher

Location: Washington, Illinois

ProCare Therapy, a leading provider of education staffing solutions, is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher for the 2023/2024 school year in Washington, Illinois. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team and provide high-quality education to students with special needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach students with special needs in 2nd, 3rd, or 7th grade caseloads
  • Provide instruction to students with various disabilities such as OHI, Autism, or SLD
  • Work with a class size of 7-19 students in a hybrid of co-teaching and self-contained classroom settings
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure that the needs of each student are met
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education
  • Illinois State Special Education Certification
  • Experience working with students with special needs
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Passion for helping students with special needs reach their full potential
