Special Education Teacher – Emotional Support (Elementary Level)

ProCare Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide emotional support to elementary students in Drexel Hill, PA. This full-time role is set to commence immediately and will continue through June 11, 2025.

Position Details:

• Location: Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania
• Grade Level: Elementary
• Focus Area: Emotional Support
• Schedule: Full-time, 36.25 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM

• Duration: ASAP – June 11, 2025

  Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' emotional and academic needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in both individual and group settings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create a supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop comprehensive support plans.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in providing emotional support, is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $32+ (commensurate with experience)
