Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Warren, Michigan
Duration: Full-Time; 2024-2025 School Year. There are positions in the following:
- Elementary, Middle, or High School Caseloads
- Resource or Life Skills

Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. In this role, you will work closely with educators, parents, and specialists to ensure that each student receives the tailored support and resources they need to succeed both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Adapt instruction to accommodate the diverse learning needs of students.
- Employ various instructional techniques and technologies to create engaging learning experiences.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and specialists to enhance student learning and development.
- Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians about student progress and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Master’s degree preferred
- Valid Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for certification.
- Experience working with students who have diverse learning needs and disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and positive behavior support strategies.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
