Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a Special Education Teacher to fill a position in a Leominster school district! This is a full-time contract position with weekly pay. You would assist school students for the 24/25 school year! The ideal candidate will be a compassionate educator who can create individualized learning plans, implement effective teaching strategies, and collaborate with other staff members and families to support student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Ability and flexibility to move classrooms within district
- Create and adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Coordinate with general education teachers to support students in mainstream classes.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Active MA SPED License
- Severe Disabilities license (or experience) preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $34-$40. Pay range dependent on experience/school district budget.
