Job Opening: Special Education Teacher (K-12)
Location: Phoenix
Position: Full-Time [Contract]
Salary: $35-$40.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team and support students with diverse learning needs across K-12. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating inclusive classrooms, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and working collaboratively with students, staff, and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs.
• Provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents.
• Monitor and track student progress; adjust strategies as needed.
• Foster a positive classroom environment with behavior management techniques.
• Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (Master’s preferred).
• Certification: Valid state teaching license in Special Education (K-12).
• Experience: Previous experience with students with disabilities is a plus, but not required.
• Skills:
  • Knowledge of special education laws and best practices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt lessons and strategies to meet diverse needs.

Preferred

• Experience with autism, learning disabilities, or other developmental disabilities.
• Bilingual (Spanish or ASL) is a plus.
