Job Title: Full-Time Special Education Teacher

Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Full-Time Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated team in Florence, Arizona. This position will focus on providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive a quality education in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, tailored to their unique learning needs and goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and instructional materials for inclusion in mainstream classrooms.
- Utilize effective teaching strategies and resources to engage students and enhance their academic and social-emotional development.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and IEP goals.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student achievements, challenges, and progress towards IEP goals.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education and instructional techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Arizona teaching certification in Special Education (cross-categorical or specific to grade level preferred).
- Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting, preferably in elementary or secondary schools; preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents/guardians, and community stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
