Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Resource Classroom)
Location: Buckeye, AZ
Employment type: Fulltime
Caseload: Grades 6-8
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet the unique learning styles and abilities of each student
- Teach in various settings, including resource rooms, self-contained classrooms, and co-teaching environments
- Manage caseloads based on licensure, experience, and preferences
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree is a plus.)
- Valid state (AZ) teaching certification in Special Education or eligibility to obtain certification
- Experience working with students with special needs in a school setting
