Special Education Teacher (K-12 Resource) – Near Baldwinsville, NY
Location: Syracuse, NY
Job Type: Contract, Full-time
Start/End Date: 2024/2025 School Year

Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education teacher for our school district in Syracuse, NY. This full-time position involves supporting a K-12 special education caseload in a resource classroom. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and collaborating with educational assistants to support student success.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the diverse needs of students.
• Apply behavioral intervention strategies to support positive behavior and emotional regulation.
• Design and implement tailored instructional strategies to meet the unique learning requirements of each child.
• Collaborate with educational assistants
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Special Education certification in NY. (Required)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with early childhood caseloads is preferred.

Salary and Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $35-$40+. (Dependent on experience and school district budget)
