Compensation

• Pay Rate: $35-$43 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
We’re seeking an enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to support students in grades 7-9. This role focuses on creating a positive learning environment and providing targeted instruction to meet each student's unique needs. Key responsibilities include:

• Instruction & Support: Deliver customized individual and group lessons based on students’ IEPs.
• Classroom Environment: Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom that encourages growth and positive behavior.
• Collaboration: Work closely with paraprofessionals, general education teachers, and support staff to promote student success.
• IEP Management: Develop, implement, and review IEPs, working closely with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Progress Tracking: Monitor and document student progress, adapting instruction as needed to help each student achieve their goals.

Qualifications

• Certification: Must hold a valid Michigan Special Education Teacher License.
• Experience: Prior experience in a middle school setting is preferred.
• Skills: Strong skills in classroom management, flexibility, and collaboration with team members.

Michigan-Specific Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Background Check: Must meet Michigan state background check requirements.
