Special Education Teacher Needed Next School Year - San Miguel, CA

Position: Special Education Teacher - 23/24 School Year

Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher for the 23/24 school year in San Miguel, CA. As a Resource Teacher, you will be responsible for supporting and instructing a caseload of 14-15 students. The caseload will be split between TK-5th grade and 6th-8th grade students. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in various academic subjects
• Collaborate with general education teachers to create an inclusive learning environment
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students
• Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
• Conduct assessments to determine students' strengths, needs, and learning goals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
